Conservatives Make New Push on College Campuses

It has long been known that left-wing thinking dominates the environment of America’s college campuses. In poll after poll, professors have identified themselves in overwhelming numbers as "liberal." Now, one group is stepping up to counter the liberal indoctrination with a dose of conservatism.

As covered in the Agape Press's story Delivering the Conservative Message to Combat Campus Liberal Bias, a new group known as the Network of College Conservatives "vows to expose and combat liberal bias on university campuses."


The Network of College Conservatives has been launched to provide a voice for students who are being harassed, intimidated, or even shouted down on campus because of their conservative or "right-wing" beliefs.

Christopher Flickinger, the founder of the Network, says its goal is "to help those students get a well-rounded education" because, "they’re certainly not going to get it from their professors in the classroom."

Flickinger needs all the help he can get. According to a story earlier this year in the Washington Post, "College faculties, long assumed to be a liberal bastion, lean further to the left than even the most conspiratorial conservatives might have imagined, a new study says."

By their own description, 72 percent of those teaching at American universities and colleges are liberal and 15 percent are conservative, says the study being published this week. The imbalance is almost as striking in partisan terms, with 50 percent of the faculty members surveyed identifying themselves as Democrats and 11 percent as Republicans.

The disparity is even more pronounced at the most elite schools, where, according to the study, 87 percent of faculty are liberal and 13 percent are conservative.

Another study sponsored by the American Enterprise Institute in 2002 found that today’s college campuses are not "diverse" places. "Quite the opposite: They are virtual one-party states, ideological monopolies, badly unbalanced ecosystems. They are utterly flightless birds with only one wing to flap. They do not, when it comes to political and cultural ideas, look like America," concludes the study.

Liberals outnumber conservatives 18 to one at Brown University. At Cornell University, the number is even higher, with liberals outnumbering conservatives more than 26 times. Penn State displayed a bit more balance, with the ratio of liberals to conservatives being six to one. Even the smallest disparity, at the University of Houston, had a ratio of three liberals to one conservative.

Despite this stark imbalance, liberal groups, driven partly by fear and partly by outrage that conservatives are now starting to make inroads, are stepping up their funding. Earlier this year, Howard Kurtz, in the Washington Post, noted that one liberal Washington think tank was "funneling money to universities to encourage liberal journalism." Kurtz asks, "Isn't that a bit like pumping sand into the Mojave Desert?"

"We're not winning the battle of ideas on campus," says David Halperin, who is running the project for the Center for American Progress. Conservatives "have this insurgency mentality, even though they run the world."

Hmmm… liberals overwhelmingly dominate the two major institutions of academics and the media and yet conservatives "run the world." If it were only true! The fact is that conservatives need to step up their efforts to reach college students. This is a crucial time in a young person’s development, and liberal professors and interest groups have a virtual monopoly on what is being fed to these young and inquisitive minds.

Our other peer showed up for work yesterday. She in turn did the Briggs Myer online test. This of course began a similiar conversation regarding her thoughts on life and such. I was surprised of her beliefs.

You may have seen those small booklets regarding the kid going friend to friend asking each 'what is the meaning of life'. These booklets attempt to have each friend cover every religion possible. I have seen the booklets out there, but it is quite something different when you are actually seeing individuals embarking on all those diverse beliefs.(especially in one room together)

Oh well. As opposed to the new guy yesterday, she has the belief life is a test. She believes in reincarnation, this is hell, her god could never have a literal hell. Basically she was all over the map. Once she stated, when you die, you go to god. Yet, then said some people do not know they die and they are trapped here on earth. This is opposed to new guy who simple doesn't know so doesn't have an opinion on the matter. Some of their ideology was different, but a lot of similiarities. Primarily both believed in good works to enhance their lives.

I also found it fascinating neither one of them, yesterday nor today, asked me of my opinions or thoughts on the subjects. I simply asked this and that and they were more than willing to answer. I was asked by the peer to go to lunch today to finish out the conversation. I wonder if she will ask me today? I guess I will see.

One other thing I found interesting. Both did not believe in the death penalty. Each valued life so much that it was not man's place to kill anyone. So that pedophile or mass murderer will rot in jail the rest of their lives but not be executed. When asked about abortion, each had a different opinion. She, absolutely no-one will tell her what to do with her body. He, does not believe in it, but did not know when life begins. I inquired to both, "ok, i agree with the body, but common sense would say, a womans egg mixed with a different man's sperm would create a separate dna, hence a new entity. So wouldn't that not be actually a part of your body?" She just kept saying it was man's laws made against women and no-one will tell her what she can and cannot do with her body. If they take that, then they will take away her means to vote next. (shaking head) He simply said, yeah, but when does life actually start?

All in all, I found it was very fascinating and this was the best Kumbaya I ever attended. It was a fresh breathe of air. We actually learned a little about each other, (well they talked about themselves) and I actually belive it helps.

As I said to each of them, I personally think each individual has their own worldview, based on their beliefs and up bringing. Everyone bases their actions on their own worldviews. If you have an understanding of their beliefs, ect. it helps to understand where they are coming from in their thoughts and actions.

So,is it really true as they say and agree on? It's all about love. No-one knows and we must learn from our life, doing good works and being nice to all?

I agree, no-one really knows. Creation... Evolution...no-one really knows. It takes faith either way on your belief. Life after death? Who knows, but it is fascinating to me on everyone's thought on the matter.

I think in a age of technology and information, we are still so unsure of it all.

I am reminded of a cork bopping in a large lake or ocean with no idea of the land where it originated or any idea of the land ahead. It just bops and moves alone with the wave or tide. Surely, we should have more of an anchor.

I flew into Pennsylvania fine last night. The plane touched down around 6 p.m. I grabbed a orange beetle type car (first one I see of these) from National Aisle and took off toward King of Prussia. It was 20 miles an hour on I-95 and ten on North 476. There was a wreck on 476 that caused the slow crawl. Still don't understand why 95 was so backed up. I basically hit an ACME and then the hotel. I reached the hotel around 8 p.m. and stayed there.

I ate a sandwhich last night, that I picked up from ACME and read more of the Robert Jordan book. I actually am enjoying it. At first I thought, another fantasy tale. Yet, as it actually started, it became interesting and is easy reading. After I blog tonight, I plan to read some more. The book kept my interset till 11:30 last night, before tiredness took me.

Today at work, we played kumbaya at midlevel. The whole interface team was suppose to gather in the same conference room all day today and tomorrow. We also had Siemens to give us a development show. This was scheduled at 9 a.m.
I was able to get a PCLan guy to setup the hub and I had the projector out and ready by 8:50. Nobody showed up from my team till after 9 a.m. Siemens all showed up 9:05. Unreal. The guy that lived the fartherest (me) was at Corp 7:30 a.m .in the freaking morning and everyone else half hazardly showed up nearly 2 hours later. Oh well. I don't plan to get there till after 8 a.m.

I finally met face to face with our new team member. He is based out of Chicago. They never look as you would picture them on the phone. He seems nice enough. We took a online Myers Briggs test this afternoon. I scored a INFJ. Funny how it pegged me. My super scored a INTJ. If you decide to take it yourself, post your result. I would be curious. I always found psychology fascinating. The 3 of us (super, new guy and myself) was alone for awhile this evening (boss lady and 2 other peers were out today). We had a deep casual conversation between us, bounced off from our results. I found it totally fascinating on the new guys ideology. He scored a ENFJ.

Oh well. We are definitely all different. I enjoyed the kids pics kel emailed me and I picked up the kids surprise this evening on the way to the hotel. I grabbed Sky High on dvd. I think I will be looking forward to watching it as much as the kids will, when they see it as their surprise.

I grabbed Tostado Nachos for supper and watched my "Last Boyscout" on dvd. I plan to brush my teeth, get under the covers and read my book.

I cannot believe it is already Sunday evening at the end of my vacation. I look back and see I basically ran most of it. Oh well, I did manage to do a couple (yes probably 2) of things I needed to or wished to do, before the end.

Yesterday we primarily stayed home. It was nice to just stay indoors without running somewhere. We cleaned the house up and that was about it.

Today, we spent lunch at Olive Garden together. We had enough left over to have it again for dinner. ; ) The kids finished up on their homework and managed to play a little bit of Playstation 2. I know, hard to believe.

We only hit a few places to finish up on some Christmas shopping. I also picked up "The Eye of the World' by Robert Jordan from the library. 2 of Kel's cousin told me, on different occasions, that the Wheel of Time series was very good. I thought it was odd 2 cousins (one in Texas and one in Oklahoma) on separate end of the poles as far as peronality told me about this series. We were not even speaking about books. So I managed to find the first book of the series at the library. It must be pretty good considering out of 6 copies, the library only had one. The others were noted as lost in the database. I plan to read it on my travels tomorrow to Pennsylvania.

We did our footbaths early today. Each of us does one, once a week, normally on Sunday night. We already gave the kids their showers, in their pajamas and ready for bed.

I went through all my work email this evening. I did good. I didn't check it all week during vacation. It was harder than I thought. I really had the urge to check in, last Tuesday.

I have a meeting with the interface team and the CIO tomorrow morning. I fly out around 11:30 tomorrow to Pennsylvania and will be at Corp. till Friday. I get to go home Saturday. I will be trying to get the PTA stuff done tomorrow morning at schooll as I take the kids to school. I normally always kindof look forward to the 2-3 days alone time on these trips. However, this time, I just want to be home only. I am dreading this one, even though, I know it will be going fast.

Well, it's already 7 p.m. this black Friday and it was a pretty good day. Yesterday for Thanksgiving we went to Kel's Aunts house for a feast, played games and planned the sales day out. We played the horse racing game again with about 8 people. This was the same one we bought Kel's dad while we were in Arizona. It was pretty fun. I left with less quarters than I came into the game with. : (

The kids, their papa and I played on their four wheeler for awhile as well. Kel's parents had it gassed up and ready to go. The weather yesterday was around 71, if you can believe it for the end of November. Unreal.

The kids stayed at Kel's parents house for the second night, last night. Kelli wasn't feeling well so she and I headed home around 6-7 p.m. We finalized the path for our money saving trip the following morning. Nearly every store was opening at 5 a.m.

Kel fell asleep pretty fast. I was jacked up from drinking coffee and soda's nearly all day. I popped 4 melatonin's to no avail. I didn't even watch cable tv. I popped in my Farscape from Kel. She gave me the second season early (yes I am spoiled). I am glad she did. I have enjoyed it immensely this week. I watched a couple of hours and popped an additional 3 melatonin's. I finally fell asleep around 11:30 p.m.

We woke up before 4 a.m. without an alarm. Kel's mom came to pick me up 4:30 a.m. and we headed to Walmart. She and I have been a team of this for the last 4 years. Not much was picked up there. Only one admatch was found. We were in line to get out longer than we were grabbing the items. A lady 3 people up ahead of us made some people curse. She and her husband had a large basket (top and bottom) filled to the rim. She had tried 4 credit cards that would not go through. She then went to her check book and did not have a single check in there to write one. Talk about unprepared. We changed lanes and moved on. How embarrassing. The bargain I found was two dvd's (The last boyscout and Swordfish) for 3.44 apiece.

We then met up with Kel at Kohls. Talk about a freaking crazy store. I went in there and basically went straight into the line. It was already throughout the whole store around 2 corners of it. Kel shopped while I stood there holding her findings. Again, it was basically for everyone else, not our stuff. Oh well. I did manage to sneak a couple of items from there for Kel's Christmas. ; )

We then hit Old Navy and found some really nice clothes for Kel and the kids. We also found some polo shirts (10 bucks a piece) that allowed me to match our son. Cool.

I left Kel and her mom to go to Hastings. It didn't open till 8 a.m. I purposely wanted to grab 2 dvd sets to get the free dvd stand. I wanted to acquire the first season of Full house for our daughter and one for Kel. While i stood there for 20 minutes I found out I wasn't so hard core. Some dude ahead of me was talking about being up 16 hours. He was in front of Best Buy since 10 p.m. the night before? Seems there was a computer on sale, with no mail in rebates. I had to ask if actually got it. He said "Oh yeah, I was the 16th in line". Wow, 16th at 10 p.m. the night before. He had a cot, sleeping bag and hot cocoa. Best Buy had sent out free wifi so they could browse the net for free while being out there all night. Crazy, man.

I didn't find the initial dvd sets I went for. However, I did grab 2 of them and 2 dvd's Kel's cousin had wanted. I grabbed the dvd set, season one ane two, the original scooby doo. I barely found it. I snagged the dvd stand. Yeah.

We gathered together at IHOP to eat breakfast together and then everyone departed their own ways. Kel, the kids and I went home. Looking at our sacks of sales, I see we only had clothes, my two dvd's. I was kindof surprised to only find primary clothes for our discomfort and no sleep. Oh well. Our daughter and I wrapped Kel's presents and now we have something under the tree.

We did manage to get a nap in today. We plan to do nothing but rest tomorrow. Only 2 days of my vacation left. Drat.

I haven't blogged in awhile, but it wasn't due to inactivity. I have also been enjoying being unplugged for awhile.We made it to and from Amarillo safely and with good results.

It amazes me how our son bounces back so fast after his surgery. It is a laser surgery on the brain. Although he had a couple of conflicts and giving his mother a few grey hairs, he bounced back the following morning after as if nothign had occurred. Truly amazing and a true miracle in itself. Yes, things could had gone far worse, but it had not and we cannot dwell on the 'what if'.

During our stay (Wednesday night through Sunday morning), I was able to walk over to NorthWest hospital to vist an old friend. It was nice to see face to face again and catch up on everything, work and family. Plus it allowed me to grab a mocha. Man, I love mocha's. It was a nice break and I did acquire some usefull information, I will have to followup on when I go to Corporate next week.

Our son's procedure was done on Thursday, and my daughter stayed with me during the time it took. She played on her mom's pc as I worked on mine. We took a break to walk the hotel, but there just wasnt much there. Friday, the kids went to watch 'Chicken Little' with the mom as I worked during the day. This was the day I snuck over to the hospital. The kids didn't speak too much of the movie, but seem to like it. Kel didn't come back into the hotel room with the same crazed look speaking gibberish as she had done with 'shark boy and lava girl', so it must had been feasible to sit through. (smile)

Saturday, I was able to take the kids to the 'Discovery Center' with their papa. It was a cool place and alot of hands on stuff for the kids to do. It also had a 9 hole putt putt that was included in the package. We went through the facility and then hit the hotel again for enough time to allow the kids to swim in the pool. The hotel doesnt have much, but it does have a warm swimming pool inside. We met the girls (kel and her mom) at the nearby mall and had a barbeque lunch. The platter was Texas size and very good. That night we had our 'Christmas' in Texas, exchanging gifts with Kel's side of the family down there. The kids received a gift from everyone, you thought it was Christmas. I was able to learn and play a new game. You use quarters and bet on which horse would win. I can't recall what the name of it is. Kel will have to comment it. We bought it for her dad when we were in Arizona, during the summer. It was actually pretty fun.

Early Sunday morning we split (around 5 a.m. ) and arrived home at a decent hour. Exhausted we immediately started laundry and started to diverse the stuff out to each room.

We finished the laundry yesterday, Monday, and put up all the Christmas stuff in the house. Yes, we have the tree up and ready as of yesterday. We plan to have Christmas pictures taken Wednesday for Christmas cards. A lady will come into the house and take them for us. We had her do this last year and was very pleased with the results.

This morning, I put up all the outside lights and front yard stuff. A large blowup Snowman, candy canes and changed the front lightbulbs to red ones, decorating them with reefs. So we are pretty set now. We are waiting on kel to get back from her work today and head over her Aunts house. I will weed eat and change a front door lock. Kel will do some additional work in Poteau while the kids and I clean her Aunts house. Thanksgiving will take place there and Kel plans to have everything ready for it. She doesn't want her aunt to have to do anything.

I only have about 5 more days to be on vacation and it's going fast. I fly out to Corporate Monday after my interface team meeting with the CIO. I hope to grab War of the Worlds today. I really want to see it.

the wife and son are off to the procedure. We had our time of prayer prior of them leaving. The daughter is already on her mom's computer and watching cartoons. We are in a suite at the hotel, so plenty of room on this trip. I am not really in the mood to work today, as my concentration will be elsewhere. Googling around I found another quiz on someone else's blog.

We are about to head out to Amarillo, Texas tomorrow. I am taking a half day and look forward to get out for awhile. I noticed yesterday morning, I am actually off all of next week. I failed to remember we set it up for me to be off the whole week. This is great. I need to get some things done around the house and it will be nice to unplug from work.

I also had a board meeting last night and my daughter had to come with me. Her friend was sick and the neighbor was out, so she was stuck with me. I have to say she did great in sitting there during the open meeting. I know she was bored (with the exception of the gameboy she was playing), but she had picked up some stuff from the meeting. When I took them to school this morning, I pointed out the playground equipment they were putting up in the school yards. She promply stated, they talked about that last night during the meeting....that's my girl.

I am catching up on laundry today between meetings and work today. It's a 6 hour drive, so I am also combining some of the kids favorite songs on cd's for them to listen too.

I have to say, I am reading a really good book. Fade by Kyle Mills is a rivoting action book. I am nearly half done and it's hard to put it down.

The wife is exhausted and I am hoping between this trip and next week she can find some relaxation time.

I have been reading up on the Crusades and it is actually pretty fascinating. Here is a bit of knowledge,I am gleaming regarding jihad.

The first campaigns of the Islamic holy war (jihad, literally 'striving')were waged by the Prophet Mohammed and his followers as a reaction to aggression and the secure booty for the infant Muslim community. But the jihad soon went on the offensive - to extend Muslim dominions. During the Muslim expansion, participation in the holy war was made the duty of all adult male Muslims; those who perished were assured of paradise, adn the idea entered Muslim tradition.
After the early eight century, Islamic conquest wanted adn enthusiasm for holy war was only intermittent, in reponse to local events such as teh Frankish invasion of Syria and Palestine.
Christian holy war had its roots inteh Just War, first defined by St. Augustine of Hippo in c. 400, which enabled Christians to reconcile Christ's rejection of violence with the need to uphold justice and order in an imperfect world. The influence of Germanic warrior converts to Christianity, and the threat to Christendom posed in the ninth an tenth centuries by the attacks of pagan Vikings, Magyars and Muslims, also modified the Church's attitude towards war. The idea of the Christian knight, who fought for the Chruch or on behalf of the poor and defenceless, was nurtured by churchmen who gave some measure of sanction to the pursuit of arms.

It's interesting how the Christians created the Knights as a defence mechanism. I also read many of the Christian knights were from France. How odd and drastic that country has changed in religion and ideology. With the Muslim riots in France hitting 17 days straight, it appears history is repeating itself.

So how did the idea of using jihad to advance Muslim domain change to suicide bombers in the name of Allah? I am not about to say I totally understand this Religion of Peace, but I am trying.

Meanwhile, the mainstream media hasnt hit the story of 2000 Muslims burned down three churches, a nuns’ convent, two Catholic schools, the houses of a Protestant pastor and a Catholic priest, a girls’ hostel and some Christian homes, according to Asia News. So where is the ACLU, the out cry or just a mention of this in the media? I understand some nuts will use any religion or reason to do the unthinkable. But let's get real. No other religion has been used for these types of acts as the one in the name of jihad.

I was able to hear most of the speech given yesterday by our President during the Vet memorial. I was glad, actually relieved when he finally started to stand up on the decisions made regarding Iraq. It's past due. Although the left loony's are hanging themselves with their self blinded rhetoric, someone needs to point out their hypocrisy. Hence, my relief when Bush finally did.

Within the nearly 1 hour speech, 3 paragraphs are being regurgitated in every media....

"While it is perfectly legitimate to criticize my decision or the conduct of the war, it is deeply irresponsible to rewrite the history of how that war began. Some Democrats and anti-war critics are now claiming we manipulated the intelligence and misled the American people about why we went to war. These critics are fully aware that a bipartisan Senate investigation found no evidence of political pressure to change the intelligence community's judgments related to Iraq's weapons programs. They also know that intelligence agencies from around the world agreed with our assessment of Saddam Hussein.
They know the United Nations passed more than a dozen resolutions citing his
development and possession of weapons of mass destruction. Many of these critics supported my opponent during the last election, who explained his
position to support the resolution in the Congress this way: 'When I vote to give the President of the United States the authority to use force, if necessary, to disarm Saddam Hussein, it is because I believe that a deadly arsenal of weapons of mass destruction in his hands is a threat, and a grave threat, to our security.' That's why more than 100 Democrats in the House and the Senate, who had access to the same intelligence voted to support removing Saddam Hussein from power.

"The stakes in the global War on Terror are too high, and the national interest is too important, for politicians to throw out false charges. These baseless attacks send the wrong signal to our troops and to an enemy that is questioning America's will. As our troops fight a ruthless enemy determined to destroy our way of life, they deserve to know that their elected leaders who send them to war continue to stand behind them. Our troops deserve to know that this support will remain firm when the going gets tough. And our troops deserve to know that whatever our differences in Washington, our will is strong, our Nation is united, and we will settle for nothing less than victory."

Was he strong enough in his speech? I am not sure. I guess it will show as time continues. No doubt the Dim's were prepared for it. Kennedy couldn't run to a mic fast enough for a rebuttal. No, the Dim's will call this speech nothing more than a means for an attempt to raise the poll numbers. Ahh Politics.

I wanted to share this link to the article stating Prisoners and archaeologists were working side-by-side on Tuesday, gently cleaning the two mosaics as prison guards stood nearby. The rough outline of the original building was visible under the large plastic tent erected above it.

When I read the article, two things stood out to me. ..it is ancient and possibly the oldest church found in Israel, but that it clearly shows there was public Christian worship here at a time when Christianity was still outlawed in the Roman Empire and when Christians were being persecuted.. and ..they include a memorial to four women, at a time when women were not usually mentioned in such a way... I am surprised for them to be surprised on the fact it was a public Christian worship purchased by a Roman. There is an account within the bible where Romans approaced Jesus for blessings in addition to Jews. The other thing many may not understand is the fact woman were not persecuted or looked down upon by the early christian faith. Unlike many other religions, the bible clearly states for the man to treat the woman as Christ treated the true church. I know there are many who misinterpretate scripture for their own purpose and goals. However, those interpretations are not literal nor correct.

Another interesting note is the fact there are more than one reference to Jesus Christ. It was stated this is the oldest findings in reference to Jesus Christ. No surprise there considering He was a actual person, no matter what Peter Jennings thought.

The left is totally excited about retaining their two Dem Governor positions. It is hilarous to hear the left are trying to show this is due to further their insane causes. What is sad is I really didn't expect these true blue areas going red. I would be surprised if it had. Most propable for the Dem's excitement is the fact they didn't get their A##'s kicked again. They are losing on nearly every other ground, when it is given to the people to vote on. Look at yesterday's Texas marriage ammendment( ..An overwhelming 76 percent of voters approved the constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman... ) that was overwhelming approved by the people as an example. When it's clear cut and given to the people, they respond overwhelming against the far left's ideology. The Dem's know it and cry at night while they try to sleep. I guess we can allow some room for their small glee.

Pirates hijack ship off Somalia

"Several ships carrying UN food aid have been hijacked. Pirates have seized a cargo ship off the coast of Somalia, local officials have confirmed. They said the Maltese-registered ship, Pagania, was attacked late on Wednesday as it sailed from South Africa to Europe with a cargo of iron ore. The hijackers are reportedly demanding a $700,000 (£394,000) ransom for the release of the ship and its crew, all believed to be Ukrainian. More than 20 ships have been seized or attacked in the area since March. "


What Nimrod started calling these terrorist pirates? This goes back to my rant a couple days ago. Let's call black..black and white..white. Let's get real people.

These are not Pirates of the Carribean. These are terrorist attacking ships for cargo and kidnapping. A fascinating read on Somalia could become springboard for jihad shows where these incorrectly called Pirates are coming from. So get real people they are groups of terrorist from warlords out of Somalia. Another recent article here points it out......sea lanes have been taken over by ransom-seeking, ocean-going warlords, officials say.

While I am on the terrorist issue, I just heard Paris has hit 5000 cars total burned out in Paris by the unrest. The first victim died in Paris due to being beat to death. I am actually amazed only one has occurred with all the burning and ravaging the landscape. Anyone recalls the Los Angelos riots, where the black community basically burned and destroyed everything in site? This sounds similar. The sad thing is, who will be the ones hurting over this? Those living in the neighborhood being ravaged.

It is interesting to note, France is second in Jewish popluation after Israel, over there. These riots are being led primarily by Muslim.

Unbelievable weather in Oklahoma allowed us to clean up the yard, cars and garage today.

Since we basically did nothing Friday night and Saturday, we caught up today with our cleaning and preparing for the week to come. It will be hectic as usual with all the errands, jobs, and ect. We went to Sunday School at Church but was going to leave early to lunch. I was caught by a teacher at school and had to ask how things were going. Again, I heard similar issues with the principle. Unfortunately, it appears no-one wrote it up. I continue to hear similiar occurances from more than on source, but the frustration on my part is simple. I cannot do anything until it's presented to the school board with paperwork. I guess we will see if they will write this up. I continue to convey this needs to be written up as a complaint and keep a copy of it for their own.

We did get to go out to lunch today as a family and it was extremely nice. Making a list of todo's and just enjoying each others company without interruption was a true pleasure. There is a new (first and only one) Starbucks in Fort Smith. We drove by it and I had my first Mocha Venti there. It was pretty good. I should now have a worthy caffeine high to get stuff done throughout the day. : )

I watched two movies Friday night. I rented "Land of the Dead" and "Warriors of Heaven and Earth". Both movies were worthy to rent. I enjoyed both of them. Land of the dead is the latest in the living dead movies. The zombies are starting to think for themselves now. It was a pretty good storyline. Warriors of heaven and earth was a japanese movie with english subtitles. Again, the story line was good. I love the Seven Samurai and do not mind reading subtitles on movies.

One final event this week is worth mentioning. I received a Christmas present early. Yeah, really early. I was given the second season dvd set of Farscape. This is a big big gift. The prices for these sets are outrageous. I am truly gratefull for my wife willing to spend it for me. A great shoutout and thank you to Kel for it. It was nearly 11 p.m. before the kids and wife went to bed last night, yet I watched the first two shows of the set.

Farscape is truly a great great SciFi series. It is a shame only 4 seasons occured. However, I bet my wife is glad due to the prices of each. LOL

I grow tired of the incorrect perceptions people place on one another. At times, I have to point out the inconsistency, or lack of priorities in regards to school functions. Rather than my peers agreeing with me (or disagreeing with a valid example) they just wish to shuck it off stating he/she are doing a pretty good job. This is really irritating.

I am a fixer. Plain and simple. I receive tickets at work to resolve issues of interfaces, etc. I logically look at the flow and find the kinks and find resolution. I can't help but do the same thing in my home or other environment. Yet, when I attempt to address these issues, I get a ho-hum attitude. It seems they have this perception of their own rather than a reality view. This attitude of "it could be worse, don't rock the boat" is troublesome. Don't get me wrong. There are good qualities in most people, but this inability of addressing flaws because of fear or the person's insecurities is driving me nuts.

You can take this same issue with people and their God. Rather than looking at literal scripture, they have their own perception of how God should be or is. The statement of "I don't think God would do that" or "I don't believe God is like that". Why not just state, this is what my bible says or this is what the angel had told me as I was on my knees. The sad truth is, just because you want it to be true, often it's not. My point is, I rather have facts than perception of belief.

Take the same issue with a family member on drugs, spouse abuse, etc. There are always those in denial or looking only at their perception of what they want, rather than what is.

I don't know how to correct this, other than to continue pointing out facts and comparisons. Oh well, I guess I am just ranting.

It's nearly 3 a.m. here. I woke up around 1 a.m with a killer dry mouth and throat. After quenching it with water, I couldn't get back to sleep. I laid in bed tossing till around 2:30 and finally got up and came in here looking at blogs. None of the ones I daily read had anything new to say, so I scanned around.

I came across Busting Agenda that depicts the pro-homosexual activist pushing agenda driven drivel targeting nothing less than school kids. No, it's not about std's or aids,(that might actually be educational) rather it's conveying to K-3rd graders it's ok to be gay. If your parents don't see it that way, tough sh*t, their prejudice and don't know any better(my words). The article is long, but well worth the read.

A lot of the blogs are talking about the senate calling for closed session. Yeah, some thinks, wow, this is a good move by the Senate. Others are wondering what the hell? There is no reason for it. Well, I have a opinion on the matter. Basically the loony left are losing it again. This is not a good move, nor a right one. Let's face it, liberals continue to lose ground in the sight of the individual people, regardless how the major media attempts to portray them.

1. Their spotlight from the once one source media is going south (yeah the media still give them the light, but more and more people are looking at alternative news sources, ie the net and talk radio)

2. The false indictment didn't reach up to the top as they had hoped. Damn their luck.

3. Iraq is actually coming around. There will always be bombs going off. Do you hear the news about radical muslims in Europe causing chaos over there?

4. This new justice nominee is just another nail in their liberal coffin. The fact he is conservative has the same liberals chasing their tails. There really was no surprise the same three, Shumer, Durbin, Feinstein, would cry foul irregardless of the candidate. It was expected. That is what they get paid to do from their liberal money pouchers.

The Senate probably needed to reassess their situation (what the hell are we going to do now) and this requires time. It's just stonewalling on their part.

It's already Halloween night and the kids are in bed. We hit Halleujah night sponsored by the local church's. It was a crowd in a half. We had more trick or treaters this year regardless of the weather.

I seen the 100 most scariest moments in tv/movies the other night. I could'nt believe they actually put JAWS as number one. I wouldn't have chosen that one, personally.

I was trying to think of the most scariest movies I had ever watched. As a kid, I was pratically raised on them. I most likely watched them too young. Oh well.

Consider this for a moment. Our bodies are constantly regenerating each moment. How is it possible for our bodies to remain intact if it is changing 100% each 5 years? Evolutionists still have a hard time answering this question. How is the personality of the individual maintained? How are emotions retained in the new cells?

Everyone recognizes that the human body is made up of chemicals commonly found in dirt. But dirt can't perform the functions human beings can. You cannot produce any living organisms from simple compounds in dirt. There must be something else, some outside variable causing these attributes of a living being.

David M. Baughn M.D. says,
"We are continually being created from dust and returning to dust...we are no objects or machines that endure, we are patterns that have the capacity to perpetuate ourselves. WE are not things, instead we are processes." Quote from 'Contempary Scientific Principles and Family Medicine'.

At best we can only move it from one already living thing to another. Even in today's stem cell research we must take a living cell and place it within a living embryo to produce more cells.

Note the Bible has something to say of this.

Genesis 2:2 "And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground and breathed in his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul."

Note in Genesis we are informed Jehovah God first formed man from the ground but then breathed in his nostrils the breath of life. This breath of life made man into a living soul. This would account our body having the chemicals commonly found in dirt, yet Jehovah God's breath of life would account to the outside attribute.

Genesis 2:21-22 "And the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead thereof; and the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her to the man."

Note the story continues as Jehovah God caused man to fall into a deep sleep and took one of his ribs, closing up his flesh. Much like a surgeon would remove a kidney from a living donor. There is an old joke or belief questioning if God took a rib from Adam and put it Eve, then why doesn't all men have one less ribs than women? The answer is quite simple. If you loose a finger, does your new baby also have one less finger? Of course not, the man Adam would live the rest of his life with one less ribs, but his children would be born naturally with all their ribs.

The story continues, then Jehovah God takes the same rib and makes a woman. Later the man calls the new creature wo-man, meaning out of man. The man did this due to her being created out of his own flesh. I personally find this interesting. Why didn't God simply create a new creature from the ground and breathe again the breath of life? Later in the story, we are told man should leave his mother and cleave to the woman as a wife and the two shall be one. This is for another article.

The point would be again, a living creature was derived from another living creature. The other interesting thing I would like to point out is the Bible doesn't mention Jehovah God breathing the breath of life in the animals, plants, ect. We only see Man having the breath of life, causing him, the woman and his descendants to be a living soul. This would place man and woman in a different level than the other creatures found on Earth.

I woke up in a funk this morning and it's not wanting to let me go today. Logically,I don't know why. Everything continues to flow for work and home. The kids and wife are not sick. Thank you God in heaven. I just seem to be in a blah today. I even sold another BBS Protoday and received a compliment yesterday from my boss regarding my work. Maybe it will pass.


Wednesday: I was able to attend church. It starts at 7 p.m. and is pretty late regarding kids in school, ect. However, it was a fulfilling time with the crowd.

Thursday: I took the kids to Jacks Skateland for our regular PTA monthly gathering. Half the attendance proceeds goes to the PTA. There were not that many showed up. That in itself was kindof nice, leaving us with plenty of room to skate and enjoy. I requested Def Leppard or Gun's N Roses to be played, but never heard them. I made it to the very end and then bit the floor. I ended up flat on my back for all the view and cheer. Yeah, it happens to the best of us. Oh well. I am not as sore as I expected to be this morning. At least I am willing to get out there and skate with the kids.

Friday: So far this morning, I have managed to go number over 100 pumpkins being on display for the School Pumpkin decorating contest, sell a
BBS Pro, catch up with work and get a load of laundry done. Here in a few minutes, I will go put the ribbons on the pumpkins during my lunch break.

I have cleaned the refrigerator out, removing the leftovers. They don't even look good to eat. I am forcing down some left over cheese pizza. Kel will be bringing something home tonight for dinner. I have requested some good barbeque sandwhich with jalepeno peppers from a restaurant close at hand. Their twice baked potatoes are to die for. LOL

Maybe I can sneak away before my evening confernce call to see if any movies are out to rent, worth anything.

Great Scott this day flew for me. I ran the kids to school and headed straight back to work. Next thing, I look up and it's 11 a.m. est. The morning was gone. I then attempted to take a break from work to view some .net stuff. Yeah, real fun.

I had to leave work a bit early anyway to run a couple of errands and this and that. Needless to say, by the time I came home it was already evening and time to eat. I am now sitting in the living room catching up personal email at 9 a.m est. Crazy.

On another subject, I am currently reading the dummy book on ASP.NET. I am looking around for some good free asp webhosting. So if you know of any, please feel free to let me know. I would like to play with it.

This past Sunday the people of Poland voted in a run-off election and gave a clear victory to Lech Kaczynski and his Law and Justice Party.
Today various leaders of the European Union bluntly warned the new Polish leader
to not violate human rights and pointedly told him he was "on probation."
The head of the socialist group in the European Parliament added that Kaczynski better govern differently than he campaigned. What is going on here? Is Kaczynski some sort of neo-Nazi that has the rest of Europe shaking with fear? Not at all!
What has Europe hyperventilating is that Kaczynski courted the "religious right" during his campaign. He has openly opposed special rights for homosexuals, and he supports the death penalty for heinous crimes. One horrified European Commission bureaucrat sniffed, "Discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation contravenes…the rule of law and human rights!"
This is amazing. The Polish people vote for a conservative who takes family and faith seriously and a bunch of European socialists are warning him he better not govern according to those values or Poland will be ostracized!

I would like to say go tell EU to go blow. However, in a ever shrinking world, I fear this strong arm tactic will probably work against Polands people by the EU.

Looking at the blog, I noticed I haven't even updated the blog for nearly a bloody week. Time just keeps flying for me.

I had taken Friday off to spend time with the family. One of the aspects was to actually not work, since this week at work was horacious. We were down one peer and I was asked to look at everything. Oh well. Nice to be known and needed. Regardless it was nice to spend time with the family, even though it was hectic.

All day Friday we prepared for our daughters party. We had a party consisting of 3 girls birthday's. I think about 30 plus kids, with parents were there. The big hit was the Karaoke. Our daughter wanted one, so we bought her one for her birthday. I have since been checking out the karaoke CD's seeing what is out there. I am amazed of the vast quantity and sheer magnitude of availble cd's. Who knew it was so popular to have such a diverse amount of choices? Not me.

I managed to complete a home project by Sunday. Let's just say I am not really the handyman nor furniture inclined. I am sure it would take most 4 hours to knock it all out. It took me all weekend.

Tonight at Church we continued the "Purpose Driven Life" again. I was able to attend it and enjoyed it, again.

Yesterday, as I was reading the book, I ran across the statements referring each individual is pre-wired (note not pre-destined) for a purpose God has given us/them. This, to me, is interesting. Would this mean each of our interest, special abilities, have been given to us by God? If so, wouldn't it also be logical our inherent issues, weaknesses are also given to us? I think so. Keeping in mind alot is also dependant upon our social surroundings, place of birth and enviroment we grow up in, helps develop our personalities. This to me, creates a crucial requirement to have each child in a well founded family enviroment during development. I can see why many activity groups are so pro-family. I myself view traditional pro-family to be the best enviroment as well. For those individuals that call some mom-dad families can also be abusive, I have to say that is not a well founded family enviroment. Realistically, this ideal enviroment is dwindling each day/year and generation. I look around and see these kids trying to act more adult than their own parents and it is very troublesome. Then you have these wolves in sheep clothing indoctrinating the youth with misinformation is disheartening. I wish there was a means to bring the light into their freaking dark world. Perhaps after the "Purpose Driven Life" book is read, I will find a means and purpose to assist somewhere to change the landscape of youth.

I dont know if we actually had a weekend. A weekend is something you sit or lounge while watching t.v. right? Hmm, didnt happen here.

Friday night, I can't really recall. I had rented two movies and watched most of the first one, Kingdom of Heaven and Unleashed. I fell asleeep on Kingdom of Heaven. I was able to finish it Saturday. It turned out better at the end. Now Unleash on the other hand was a really good movie. An actual decent storyline with action. Rare anymore to find a movie with a decent storyline from Hollywood.

Saturday, we had the PTA silent auction. I took the kids around most of the 4 hour duration. PTA did pretty good. Not as good as last time, however, we didn't do raffle this time. We will definitely have another one next year with a raffle.

Sunday, we ran to Tulsa. Kel's aunt is working at a new facility and acquired an apartment up there. We were able to check it out and visit a bit. Kel was able to check out some stores. I want to take the kids to a LaserTag up there. We simply didn't have the time. Oh well. It's not like we wont be up there again, visiting.

There was power surge at Corp that knocked everything out, including the phone lines. Needless to say, I barely made it home before a conference call with the critical task force and CIO was in play. So I basically was on the laptop all bloody evening till after midnight. I then received a couple of on-call calls during the night. Needless to say, no sleep and glad I am off on-call.

So tonight, I am sitting here drinking a wine and relaxing without a cell phone.

Q: Why do cultures throughout the world have legends that sound like they came from the book of Genesis?

A: There was a missionary to the Australian Aborigines that attended one of our seminars. Since Ken Ham knew that cultures all over the world had Flood legends similar to the historical account in Genesis, he asked this missionary if the Aborigines had any such stories. Ken then explained to him that the reasons these stories abound all over the world is that they were handed down from the time of Noah, even though they were changed somewhat.

The real record, of course, is in the Bible. This evidence attests to the fact that all cultures are of one race, descended from Noah … and ultimately Adam.

A few years later, this same missionary recounted the event of an old Aboriginal elder who told him that the Aborigines had a story handed down for generations, that woman was made while man was asleep. Remembering the earlier conversation with Ken, the missionary opened the Bible and read the account of the creation of Eve (Genesis 2:21-23).

The aboriginal said, "how come you have the same story we have-but your story is better." The missionary was able to lead this man to the Lord Jesus Christ.

The fight for Civil Unions by some states believe it will appease the Homosexual movement. The article shows civil unions taking effect in Connecticut for the first time legallyl. I personally believe this will not appease those gay couples wishing to be married.

They now have the same legal status as married couples, but it hints in the statement, "..they could't find words to describe their union." What does that mean exactly?

I posted a blog on the attempts of california gay activists pushing their agenda on the people irregardless of the peoples vote, proposition 22. The people clearly voted marriage is between a man and a woman. This view holds true throughout the states (that I can see) when questioned to the people as a whole.

However, those wishing to have their own ways, continue to seek routes other than that which is constitutional. The article does state this at the bottom. Guess we will see.

I feel like I actually had some rest of the mind this weekend. I was able to finish the great "Dark Tower Series" this weekend. I great great series. I began it years ago and now the tale is told, to me. I think I will start "The Chronicles of Narnia" series next, in preparation of the movie coming out December of this year. I have never read the books. However, I see it was really compared to the Potter series and I noticed many quotes from C.S. Lewis in the book "The Purpose Driven Life".

I was able to stay home and play with the kids most of Friday night and all day Saturday. We ended Saturday night playing Hide and Seek in the house. I absolutely loved it. : )

Kel had over done it this week and weekend. I can't keep a good woman down. : )
I took the kids to Church with me Sunday morning and she was suppose to 'take it easy' at home in bed, since she already over did it the day before. Alas, when I came home, looking in her eyes, I knew she done something. (shaking head) No, I didn't spank her (wink) but I do worry about her initiatives.

The Church has started a group to go through the book "The Purpose Driven Life" written by Rikc Warren. I had been given this book sometime in the past, but have never got to it. Well, last night I had attended the second week at Church. I need to catch up, but they were giving the books out to each individual to read and go through. I picked one up for Kel. So now we have one each. I will be now going through this book. Hopefully, Kel will too. I would like for each of us to read it on our own time and then perhaps discuss it between ourselves. Guess we will see.

I start on-call again today. blah. Maybe, it will not be bad. I already have offered my time late late Sunday night for a live. We have a Rx (Pharmacy) conversion going on around midnight Sunday (into Monday) that will go through Monday night into Tuesday. It consist of two facilites. It's not like we have never stayed up all night before.

Guess, I better get back to work.

A complaint filed yesterday regarding the display of the Ten Commandments and Mayflower Compact. ACLU and James Green verses Haskell County Board of Trustees and Sam Cole.

I called the US Federal Courthouse in Muskogee, Oklahoma to find out the file is under ACLU of Oklahoma. The case number is O5CV4O6 (not zeros). As of noon today, it still was not on the shelf.

I also contacted Dan Boren's office asking for his thoughts on this. Dan Boren is the Congressman for the 2nd District. I was told my inquiry has been sent to him up in the D.C.'s office. I am still waiting for a reply.

Tina Izadi, staff attorney for ACLU of Oklahoma stated; "It's not approaching religion in a neutral fashion.. It's endorsing a specific religious text. We're hoping that Stigler will act accordingly but we're investigating." This is found online here.

Seems that has changed now that James Green stepped up. I am not certain why now or if ACLU approached him first. I will pursue this.

I do find it interesting back in November 2004, ACLU stated they would not sue over the Ten Commandments and Mayflower Compact monument. Another article is found here with ACLU stating they are waiting on the Supreme Courts decision.

Unfortunately dependant on which state your in, the Supreme Courts decided 5-4 differently. Texas says its ok and Kentucky says it's not. The difference appears to come down to if it is alone or part of historical documents.

The monument in Stigler has the Ten Commandments on one side and the Mayflower Compact on the other side. In addition, it is placed alongside three other monuments honoring people who died in the Civil War, the Trail of Tears, World War I and World War II.

The 8-feet, $2,500 monument, funded by efforts of Stigler-area residents and church members, was erected in November last year after approval from the Haskell County Commission.

I will keep tabs on this story. I am also still waiting for the ACLU of Oklahoma to return my call back 2 months ago. : )

Last night, I came into a quite dark home. It wasn't empty, because everyone was asleep in their beds. I had made a late evening errand to pick up PTA silent auction items.

The past week I have been reading the last of the Dark Towerseries by Stephen King. I started this story many years ago and it is coming to a close.

I put away the items of donatation and items of purchase from Walmart from my errands. I let the dogs in to sleep in our beds, each going to their dedicated master. I turn the alarm on, house is secured.

After my nightly ritual and checking on each sleeping body, I pull out my escape and make me a drink. Taking both in the living room I sit comfortably in the recliner. I open the book, my current escape from realism and continue the story.

As I read and escape from my worries, thoughts try to enter into my mind. They remind me of everything I should be doing during this time of solitude and quiteness. You should be studying up those XML and .NET stuff. You should be doing a thorough cleaning of that filthy office in there. You should be reorganizing your PTA stuff. I simply turn the page and read on. As I read the words disappears but the story continues in my minds eye, unfolding before me.

I take a drink. It is Barcardi Rum and coke. I think I should not be drinking. I look forward to these quite nights sitting here with my drink either reading a good story or watching a decent movie. Either way is a means to escape my worries and relax. My reasoning mind reminds me this drink is similar to melatonin or tylenol pm, it just puts you in a relax state to sleep. When exactly does a drunk become a drunk? Probably recalls the first drink in his/her life, but not the one that they need. I take another drink and turn the page in the book.

I sit here till my eyes are closing and the words no longer disappears as the story plays out, rather blurs. I get up, putting away my two items and head to bed. I get a good night sleep.

As I type the President is speaking of his new nominee Harriet Miers. I personally do not know of her, but I am sure she will be scrutinized beyond belief. Given the fact Judge John Roberts produced more documents and provided more info on himself than any nominee in the past, I can only expect the same for this nominee.

I was told by friends and family, the new nominee would undoubtly be a woman, probably a black or hispanic. Looks like they were partly right.

Seems Bush has known her for 10 years. I bet the liberal groups will love that.

The weekend is nearly over. It was busy one for our family. The kids friends spent the night Friday night. Around 4:35 a.m. I thought I heard crying from the kids room(they all slept in the same one). Rushing in the hallway, I found two girls giggling in the bathroom, behind door closed. I went back to bed and told Kel the two girls are in the bathroom giggling. So she went to check on them.

We had a yardsale all day Saturday, (hence the reason for the kids friends to sleep over). There were 3 other families which brought over their stuff as well. There were more stuff out there, than I had ever seen.I had placed the yardsale signs out and found the boys woke up while I was out. So the girls woke us up around 4 a.m and the boys were up around 6 a.m.

During Saturday, the idea was for Erich and I to watch the kids, while the girls did the yardsale. Well that didn't happen. He preferred to be a rooster than a work horse. I ended up taking care of the kids all day. It wasn't bad till around 12 p.m. when they grew tired and cranky (ages 4-7), fighting with each other. I made them lay down for a nap in the living room. One of the girls didn't like this at all. None of them fell asleep, but I had about an hour of rest. I told Kel he preferred to be a rooster and had to explain my meaning. He preferred to be outside speaking with the girls than watch/take care of the kids. You have to understand the group of ladies(wife included) are not hard on the eyes. (smile)

Oh well, someone has to do it and the kids will not be little for long.

Our daughter's room is done. We repainted the four walls(all a differnt color) and placed a new headboard in. Color beads were placed as window shades. The room definitely looks teeny bopper. She is 7 going on 20. Unreal.

John Roberts have been easily confirmed on the floor today. Now we will see if the next (whoever it will be) nominee will be done in a civil matter.

I better do some blogging.

My honey is in bed after a hard day. Kel was up at 4:30 a.m. this morning cleaning the garage, pricing yard sale (for next weekend) and God knows what else.

I actually received Thursday and Friday night sleep without being called for work's on-call. Last night we had our friends over. The kids played in the living room while watching 2 3-d movies, Shark Tale and Lava Boy as well as the new Barbie movie. The adults were in the kitchen chatting. I thought we were to play a board game but they didnt seem to want to do that. So I just basically sat there, trying to keep up and create conversation. (yawn)

Last night as Kel and I went to bed, we discussed going to Fayetteville just to get out for a while. That is exactly what we did. We got up and around (Kel at 4:30 a.m., I around 7 a.m.) and headed over there. Fortunately, I only received one call as I was out (from work) and it wasn't my issue.

We were out all day and thoroughly enjoyed just being out and looking around. When we arrived home, I received like freaking 6 calls from work. I guess they waited till I came home. I carry a cellphone when they need to, as opposed to a text pager. Oh well.

It is now nearly 10:30 p.m. I just finished taking my foot bath. I was the last one to do mine. Kel and the kids did their's before Kel went to bed. Now the kids are getting ready for bed themselves. They want to stay up all night. Yeah, right. I bet they will be asleep within 15 minutes they lay their heads down. : )

It is raining here in Pocola, brought in by Rita the hurricane. It is a welcome temperature fallen from our 100 degree days all week. It will add to good sleeping weather as well.

It's confirmed. A 13 to 5 vote for the confirmation of John Roberts. The 5 nays were Feinstein, Kennedy, Schumer, Durbin, and Biden. No suprises there.

Now next week the vote will go to the floor for all the Senate to vote.

You might have noticed I haven't really updated the blog in some time. I have been busy on two other newer projects with my rarely spare time. Plus I been on-call this week and you know how that is. I was up at 1 a.m. last night for one stupid interface. It took over an hour, with 3 text pages (to them) before they recycled their side and returned their call to me. I entertained myself watching a CD on XML. Yeah, exciting.

Anyway. I have created a new webpage dedicated to the foot bath we recently acquired. I was so impressed with it, I am attempting to be a distributer for it. I don't expect to get rich off it, but I figured why not attempt to sell them? So if you want to check it out, let me know your thoughts on it.

In addition to the new foot bath pate. I have found a cool online store. This allows you to create your own merchandise and sell it online. The products have their own base pay and you add a buck or two to get a little bit out of it. The cool thing on this online store is the fact you do not have to personally purchase anything yourself to create the products. So again, I do not expect to get rich, but plan on creating some items to sell. Please check out the online store and let me know your thoughts on it as well.

My mom finally decided to sell the land we have. It is a bit over one acre that we grew up. The house is gone and frankly it's overgrown with weeds, ect. due to neglect. I went to put up the for sale signs today and was disheartened to see it in such a shape. I walked down memory lane a bit as I viewed the terrain. Unfortunately I personally do not have the money, or I would clean it up and make something out of it.

I seen a tickler run by briefly on the news relating to a single database will contain all new babies born starting 2007. I really didn't hear anyone speak on this, rather the simple tickler.

In Oklahoma, there is a new software going out to the public schools called the WAVE. This software is basically linking the schools to one database. Each school will upload their own students information onto the database. The reason is to keep track of the kids moving from one school to the other. The Government does not want to inadvertly pay for the same child in both schools. Sounds reasonable, but just because the news only reports the Netherlands as putting each kid in a single databaase, don't think it's not happening in the United States.

I have been listening to the John Roberts Q and A on C-span radio in the background and it's been intersting to say the least.

Basically you have two sides of the party posing questions to give everyone an idea of how John Roberts tick. Well, at least that is how it suppose to be. It appears however, Joe Biden and Diane Feinstein have taken the opportunity to do some grandstanding. Some can understand why Joe Biden has, because he will be running for president in 08. Don't believe me? Check out the campaign site already up on the web. As for Diane Feinstein, who can say. On day one, she went into a spill giving a history lesson and running out of time, during her speech. No questions were even asked to John Roberts. Mongo has a good article on this.

Let's not forget the unforgettable Liberal commie Ted Kennedy. I mean seriously, this guy couldn't wait for an answer and Spector had to ask Kennedy to simply allow John Roberts to answer the question. On one question Kennedy proposed it took him nearly 5 minutes to ask. However, he couldn't allow Roberts to reply without interrupting in 1 moment. It's almost a joke.

Commentors have already reported that nearly all the Democrats will vote no. They almost have to in order to appease their pocket filling special groups. So, what's the point of having a hearing if the Libs already have a bias answer?

Today, I listened to a spokes woman from Planned Parenthood. Of course she was attempting to act like she was listening to the hearings to determine if Planned Parenthood should or shouldn't support him. I commend the reporter from C-span for asking two simple questions.

Reporter: "Can we assume you do not support John Roberts".

PP: "You will have to wait till 1 p.m. "

Later in the conversation, he asked.....

Reporter:"Who financed and allowed you to come to speak on the floor".

PP: "uh well, uh the Democratic party and uh those concerned."

Yeah, another pocket filling special interest of the Commie liberal facist.

Basically, the special interest groups, pro-abortionist and gay rights, fill the Democrat pockets with money, ect and their puppets in the Senate (and some judicial seats) will legislate and support their causes.

We had purchased our very own footbath. I am already seriously thinking of becoming a distributor. No I am not kidding.

The footbath was a new treatment I was introduced to with our son's treatment. I never heard of it before nor can I still grasp the 'how' in it. Basically the water gets charged and pulls the toxins out of your body. I think of it as my dad putting that tobacco on my wasp sting to pull the poison it. Yeah that tobacco stung like crazy but you can't feel anything with the footbath.

You basically put your feet in some water with a pinch of salt. Then drop the adapter in the water, turning on the unit. Adults time on the machine is 40 minutes while the kids 1-7 yrs is 12 minutes.

However, my wife's footbath was way more nasty. The kids only showed as yellow water. Probably because they had the treatment before. When our son did his first, it was way way nastier than my wife's here.



Each color, metal flake, ect indicates some form of toxin. Either coming out of your kidneys, liver, intestines, joints, tobacco (yes removes tobacco) or simply metal flakes. Weird, but I can't discard what I see.

Update on the California: It appears not only the Governor did the right thing by upholding the will of the people, he used words no-one has heard from the Government in a long time.

"``The Governor believes the matter should be determined not by legislative action -- which would be unconstitutional -- but by court decision or another vote of the people of our state. We cannot have a system where the people vote and the Legislature derails that vote. Out of respect for the will of the people, the Governor will veto AB 849.''"

I say it's about time we seen a government official in office showing the balls to do the job right.

I had taken Friday off and used the morning to prostitue for the PTA. I went to pick up some items vendors were willing to give PTA for their silent auction. I also knocked on some doors asking for anything to go toward the silent auction. I was surprised some of the stores were willing to give us certificates, ect.

Friday night the family spent the night in a tent at Tulsa Zoo. Only about 20 families had a 'starry safari' sleepover at the zoo. They locked the gates after a specific time. This was a new and cool experience for all 4 of us. I had tested the tent last weekend to ensure I could actually put it up and break it down. I was halfway impressed with myself having the ability to put it up within 7 minutes. So I didn't have to embarrass the wife by spending 40 minutes putting up a tent. : )

I personally enjoyed it immensely. The fact we could walk in the nighttime with hardly anyone at the zoo, was nice and relaxing. The zoo had brat's or hotdogs, salad dressing, baked beans to choose and eat for dinner. We could also ride the train around the zoo. It was nice to see some of the animals actually up and moving as opposed to the normal laying in the shade.

We drove home early this morning and immediately went to work. PTA had booth at the corner of Pocola. They had a small 'indian fair' going on at the corner of Pocola and it was an opportunity to acquire more members and have the kids playing a game. It was hotter than ever out there and it lasted till nearly 2 p.m.

Now it's 8 p.m. local time and everyone has had their showers and benadryl (fighting those stupid allergies still).

As the media continues to show only Katrina's devastation and the political snot throwing, the radical left continues to work hard. Reading this article, the commonsense person would wonder why or how could this continue to occur? What's with this agenda driven radical group? The people had voted, the first court said no, yet they continue to push for it. I don't see how the Govenor could sign the worthless paper.

Anaheim, California "The State Assembly has turned its back on California's families," said Benjamin Lopez, Lobbyist for Traditional Values Coalition (TVC). "Forty-One Democrats have taken it upon themselves to ram down the throats of Californians a twisted, out-of-step, out-of-mainstream version of marriage and family. They will surely pay for this."

Just moments ago the California State Assembly voted 41 to 36, the bear minimum number needed for passage, to pass Assembly Bill 849, by homosexual Assemblyman Mark Leno (D-San Francisco), a bill that would strike references to "male" and "female" in the marriage code and would instead add the phrase "two persons" to the definition of marriage thereby allowing two men or two women to marry.

The State Assembly vote comes nearly three months after the same chamber rejected an identical bill, Assembly Bill 19, Leno's first attempt to legalize homosexual marriage, on June 2, 2005. The Assembly fell 4 votes short of passing AB 19 at that time. Leno then amended AB 19's provisions into another bill that had already passed the Assembly and made its way to the Senate, AB 849, resurrecting the homosexual marriage bill. The State Senate passed AB 849 on September 1, 2005 by a vote of 21 to 15.

Four Assembly Democrats who had abstained on AB 19 during the June 2 vote switched their votes this time to put AB 849 over the top. Those Democrats were Mervyn Dymally of Compton, Gloria Negrete McLeod of Ontario, Simon Salinas of Salinas and Tom Umberg of Santa Ana.

"It is clear that Democrats are in bed with the radical homosexual community and they are not using any protection," Lopez said. "This vote makes it clear that it is Democrats in the Legislature that are determined to get homosexual marriage enacted any way they can. It is Democrats that are pro-gay and anti-traditional family."

"If supporters of same-sex marriage are so confident that the public supports homosexual marriage, why don't they go to the public?" Lopez asked. "Why don't they let the people vote on the issue? They will not! They will not do so because they would lose and they know it. So, instead they must resort to liberal legislators and rogue judges to forcibly implement same-sex marriage."

In the March 2000 Primary Election, 61.4% of California voters passed Proposition 22, which stated: "Only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California." 101 out of 120 legislative districts voted in favor of Prop 22.

AB 849 now goes to Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's desk for his signature or veto. Lopez stated that TVC will now focus its efforts on ensuring the Governor vetoes the bill.

"We will be relentless in conveying to the Governor that California is not in favor of blatant homosexual marriages," Lopez added. "Governor Schwarzenegger has made statements that the courts or people should decided this issue. Well, here is his chance to veto a bill brought to him, not by the people, but by radical activists who wish to impose their idea of family on the rest of California."

"If the Governor signs AB 849 into law, I predict he will lose his reforms at the November election as many conservatives will simply stay home in protest." Lopez warned.

They finally were able to get the pumps going to drain New Orleans. Why the media so much on New Orleans and not the other disaster areas, remains a mystery to me. None-the-less New Orleans remains in the spot light. The predators and scavengers continue to prey on any living and non-living thing out there. You have your looters, rapist, ect. as well as the political predators coming out of the woodworks. Just today, I heard on talk radio Al Sharpton is joined by every left wing nutcase blaming Bush for the horror in New Orleans. Are they for real? A quick search online Boortz says it well.


I seen a pretty good movie last night called Silver City. I picked it up thinking it was going to be a political comedy. It wasn't really a political movie, per say. The main character actually was a private investigator that uncovers the 'powers to be' dumping dead illegal immigrants and toxic waste in a cave. This cave was also part of the property the 'powers to be' is trying to build this Silver City on. They did show a wantabee governor that was not a public speaker at all. I found it interesting because to me it was a mystery on how and who was the illegal immigrant that died. The movie answered the question. I also enjoy watching the extra's on the dvd. It gives a more personal behind the scenes on the movie, director, ect. I was surprised to find the movie was made primary as a rebuttel to Bush's first Presidential win. The actors/actress's playing in the movie, first stated they did it because of the writer, John Sayles. Then as you continued to watch it became more evident (by their own words) they did this film because they felt the presidency was stolen by Bush. It appears people still believe this after the recounts. Oh well, you cannot educate the unwilling. I am always interested in hearing other points of view, ect. However, it is scary the hatred I seen from some of these actors. You have to understand the wantabee governer character was an attempt to portray George Bush. Basically the character was a dunce his own father seen as a problem. This dunce was pushed by the 'powers to be' like a puppet on strings. It's a shame to have that illogical and unfounded perception. I agree people make mistakes and no-one is perfect, but you have to admit, this President won the first and second term of office. The people decided. This President also has had the hardest time in any term for at least 50 years.

He wasn't allowed to go into office for nearly 5 months because the Democrats demanded a chad issue. (Note this same state of Florida was ran by Democrats but Bush was blamed as stealing the office)

Once he was able to get into office 9/11 hit shortly afterwards. Although the prior Democratic term did nothing but ignore the dangerous signs of Terrorist, Bush was again blamed.

Bush had to push through the economic bubble that Clinton rode on the way out of his term. Again, Bush was blamed for it.

Bush had the Afganistan war to overlook against the terror camps.

Bush had the Iraq war to deal with it. Yes, he is blamed for going into by falsifying the WMD's. However, everyone was stating the dictator had WMD's. But again Bush was blamed for it, and continue to be.

Now the most natural disaster this Nation has seen in history has struck Mississippi and Louisiana. Already you have political predators throwing up every reason why it's Bush's fault. Although their cries are illogical and frankly dumb, they cry none-the-less.

I could add more but my battery is running low on my laptop and quite frankly anyone can look it up and see the facts.

I nearly lost my voice Friday. I had been fighting allergies, myself, all week as well. Friday was the worst day for me. Dry, scratchy and unable to keep a simple tone, I am sure I was hard to understand on the phone. Fortunately, most of my contact was made through IM and Email.

Friday night, we had planned to enjoy some quality time with the kids. Kel and I crashed early. The kids had a sleepover in the living room and thoroughly enjoyed it.

When we awoke Saturday morning, I felt a bit better, but Kel still felt awful. I mowed mine and the neighbors yard first thing Saturday morning, before it became too hot. I spent the remaining day halfway cleaning up the house.

Saturday night I made us some bananna splits and milkshakes. Kel and our son wanted a milkshake while our girl and I dove into a homemade bananna split. Yes, they were good. : )

I tried to watch Monster-N-Law with Kel last night as well. I kept getting interrupted with work issues. However, from what I seen of it, Jane Fonda acted like a spoiled kid not getting her way. Personally, if I had that kind of retirement, I would find something else to do than make my kids life hell.

Afterwards, I tried to watch Assault on Precinct 13. Since I took 2 benadryls to sedate me coughing my head off, I couldn't even finish it. I crashed around midnight. I will try to finish it tonight.

Kel has acquired some stuff to be given to the victims of Katrina. There is a drop off for items in Fort Smith. I plan to take the kids to church this morning and bring them home. I will then drop the items off.

We received our van back today. I had to take it in yesterday morning for them to figure out what the deal is.

As I was driving it the gas odometer just dropped to E with the gas light coming on. I thought, oh crap, someone siphored our gas. Yeah, I am pretty pessimistic at times.
Anyway, I put around 20 bucks in it (when it was less than 3 freaking dollars) and headed back on the road. It went up to nearly half a tank and then dropped down again. OK. Somethings up. I had called Firestone and they really didnt want to touch it, after hearing my scenario. I was forced to take it to a FORD dealership (no jokes please, it was a good deal at the time). I really didnt want to, because my wife and I had a bad experience with another FORD dealership before.

However, it took them nearly 2 days, but they found the culprit. It ended up being two ground wires, one in the front and one in the back, that needed cleaned and re-grounded. Odd yes, but, less expensive than I had feared. Personally, I would not have ever found it. I suck at cars anyway. We also had the wipers, oil, and gas filter changed. Might as well have it all overhauled. So far so good. No issues on the way home.

Our son has had allergies since school started back. He was out part of a day this week with a temp and coughing like crazy. Kel mentioned the crappy looking vents in the classroom. I checked them out and sure enough they looked pretty bad. I mentioned it to the assistant principle, as a parent. Later the same day, I dropped my reciepts (from the Oklahoma City trip) off. The Super asked me to come in and wanted to know if everything was OK. So it opened an allowable time to mention the filters and vents. This was yesterday. I find out today, that one maintence guy went in and changed all the filters and cleaned the vents out throughout the elementary school. Unreal. They said he was sweating like a pig and filthy as all get out. On top of it all, it seems to be common knowledge we had requested it to be done. I couldn't believe it. It saddens me to think they did this because I happen to request it being done, as opposed to it actually required to be done for the benefit of all.

Since Kel and I also seem to be coming down with allergies, Kel went out and bought some air filters. Personally, I never have messed with any. However, these seem to be easy enough. You just pull them from the box and plug them in. That's what I like, keep it simple. So by morning, I would hope every allergin would be pretty much squashed.

I finally get to go to bed tonight. I watched a movie called Sahara and it was actually pretty good. I been called twice tonight for on-call, hence , I can just now get to bed. It is after midnight local time.
